Finding Balance in a World That Doesn’t Stop

The other day I was in a rush to get out the door. My backpack hung heavy on my shoulder, weighed down by my laptop, iPad, lunch, planner, and a stack of books I needed for the day. I was holding my water bottle, sunglasses, and keys in one hand, while attempting to put on my shoes with the other. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised when I lost balance and ended up on the floor.

If I weren’t so frustrated with myself, I probably would have laughed out loud. But instead, I huffed a hard sigh and put everything down to put my shoes on with both hands like a normal person. As I did, I was hit with the reality of how much of life is a balancing act of responsibilities, expectations, and demands. If you’ve ever felt like life just doesn’t give you room to breathe, you’re not alone. Most of us are carrying a lot—juggling work, kids, school, friends, family, and everything in between. We know the pace isn’t sustainable but setting anything down feels impossible.

But guess what, imbalance doesn’t just show up in our schedules, it shows up in our souls.

That’s why Esther Smith and I are hosting a free webinar on Whole Life Balance on December 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST. It’s a space to pause, reflect, and get practical about what it means to pay attention to your whole life (spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational).

We’re two counselors who’ve seen how easy it is, even with good intentions, to live in a rhythm that quietly erodes our joy. You might have a strong spiritual life but be emotionally depleted. You might be caring for others yet neglecting your own body or relationships. We get it. We’ve been there too.

In this conversation, we’ll talk honestly about the patterns that leave us drained and distracted, and the small but meaningful ways we can return to balance. You’ll walk away with simple, doable practices—habits of presence, rest, and reflection—that you can start using right away (or even share with someone you’re walking alongside).

This isn’t about perfect equilibrium or adding more to your to-do list. It’s about learning how to live attentively to our lives and be anchored in the love of Christ.

If you’re ready to breathe again, if you want more balance in your whole life then join us.
